| Forum Reply | Any squad players that started tonight deserve to start on Sat? at 09:13 8 Feb 2023
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Wolf start in place of Keogh and Jackson start in place of Burns especially if he is carrying a knock. Maybe the same for Humphrey’s and Evans for the same reason. I’ve heard Aluko was excellent last night but doubt he’d get the nod to start over Chaplin but possibly Broadhead who didn’t impress much on Sat. He’d be good coming on for the last 30 for a tired Aluko. Leigh definitely deserves a place on the bench. Difficult decisions for McKenna to make. |

I know for a fact he has been in Ipswich for a couple of weeks. Maybe he is being lined up as manager or getting involved with helping our owners find/interview Cook’s replacement. Either way, rather coincidental he’s been here for quite a while don’t you think? Apologies if this has already been mentioned on another thread [Post edited 5 Dec 2021 23:19]

Utterly abysmal tonight. The only players to come out of that with any credit or respect are Edmundson and Edwards. Celina was disinterested and constantly gave the ball away, Fraser looked like a pub player and is so slow, our supposed saviour and captain kept spinning around in circles and passing it backwards and sideways! We were second best to every ball, didn’t look up for it and quite frankly are just not good enough. Cook has had plenty of time now to get this right and it failing miserably. Yes, we got a great result from the Wycombe and Portsmouth matches and were unlucky on Sat to lose but overall it’s just not working and tonight was as depressing as most cold Tuesday nights we’ve had to suffer over the last 10years |

Have just got back from watching it tonight. It was excellent! The acting (especially the chap playing Sir Bobby) music and story were all fantastic and I found it very emotional too. Makes you so proud of being an Ipswich fan and what we achieved. Highly recommended and far surpassed my expectations. For those that can’t get to see it or live too far away you can live stream it. All details for doing so on The Wolsey Theatre website. Johnny Wark and Russell Osman came on stage at the end to a standing ovation. Absolute scenes and not a dry eye in the house!! Not fit to wear the shirt. Overpaid, hopeless and no passion or desire. |

It really is shocking. No positives from this whatsoever. No shots on goal, no creativity, giving it away constantly and just really bloody depressing! You’d think they would be trying to impress the new manager wouldn’t you?! |

Agreed on your first point. We are not a relegated threatened team and don’t want a temporary turnaround (although instant results would be good) but a longer term strategy, better football, tactics and results that are sustainable should be the focus and that takes time. Are you really being critical of Cook because our running streak has come to an end since he’s been appointed? [Post edited 16 Mar 2021 20:48]

That’s why I’d bring on Bishop as it at least he runs at players. Not one player is trying to drive us forward and instead it’s just hit it up to Jackson who is nowhere near it and straight to the keeper. They look so lost and devoid of any attacking flair or ideas. [Post edited 16 Mar 2021 20:35]
