Shame he didn't stop the cross coming in for the goal. Obviously Edmunson shouldn't be messing around but plenty of time for Thompson to have got him out of jail. |

Spoke with ticket office today. They hope to go on sale next week sometime. They are expecting tickets from Sheffield this week. |
 | Forum Thread | Don't Panic, they don't like it upem! at 20:19 29 Aug 2021
5 games where we haven't got what we wanted or probably deserved. All the games so far could of gone either way and due to individual mistakes it hasn't gone our way. In or around top 6 come Xmas and we'll be fine. Keep trusting the "project" there is so much to be positive about, just hasn't started as we would of liked. COYB |
 | Forum Thread | When Aluko is our least inspiring signing...... at 12:47 16 Aug 2021
Widely accepted Aluko is our most uninspiring signing of the window. A man that has a decent pedigree and really should be a top performer in this league. Does this not show what a squad has been built in such a short time? Give them until xmas time to really gel and get it together. After that i cant see anybody getting near us. We have more than enough at the back now and going forward we should really be able to take teams apart. The depth to the squad looks good and is of a manageable size. Good owners, good board, good structure, good manager and good squad...... no excuses now!!! |
 | Forum Reply | So, did relegation save our club? at 14:54 5 Aug 2021
Exactly my point. Even before relegation the club had stagnated and accepted its place. Without the disaster of the last few seasons we would still be in limbo. Not good enough to trouble the top of the championship, playing with no real desire or commitment to anything. Under our new setup, there does not need to be a ceiling to what we can achieve over time. Proper people who have ambition and the knowledge to back it up. Its a long and massive path, but at least it's a path that we wouldn't be on without the incompetence of so many. |
 | Forum Thread | So, did relegation save our club? at 14:40 5 Aug 2021
We've seen it numerous times. Supporters saying "getting relegated would be the best thing for us!. We can get rid of the deadwood, start again and come back stronger." Unfortunately, our relegation didn't trigger the new dawn that was so craved. The mediocrity and lack of desire to win stayed. The lack of standards within the club were clear to see. Players and staff who were going through the motions, the dirty and unwelcoming stadium. The lack of investment both on and off the pitch, excuses at the ready from those at the top but never a tangible and realistic plan to reestablish ourselves and move forward. In my opinion its probably the best thing that could of happened to us. If the regime had of done a half decent job and not let the club decline we would not have been such an attractive proposition for the new set up. The very reasons we had become so disillusioned with Ipswich Town Football Club was what made us so attractive to others. A couple of months in and we're already seeing standards being set. Obviously Rome wasn't built in a day but its clear to see those now in charge have a desire to succeed and are not scared to put the hard work in along with the cash. I expect a lot of clubs around the country are envious of our new ownership and board. Passion, decency, a commitment to the community along with a big wallet, what else could we ask for? So i will nod my head in recognition of Marcus Evans, Paul Hurst, Paul Lambert (and many others) who without their inadequacy's and failures we would not now be on the cusp of an exciting new era in our clubs history. Its not going to be easy and a lot of hard work is needed. However we now have people at the club who not only will but WANT to put that work in. So, did relegation save our club? In my opinion......... Yes it did! COYB! |

Ashton did speak about it. He said that due to the work that will be done on the pitch and stadium next year, if they put a screen in now they would have to take it down for access. He mentioned it being in the corner between churchmans and the cobbold. [Post edited 30 Jul 2021 16:41]

 | Forum Thread | Judge offering to waive contract... at 10:46 16 Apr 2021
Not sure if mentioned but Judge offering to waive his contract so he could play last 6 games is a class offering from him. One of the few professionals at the club. Hasn't worked out for him but fair play to him. |
 | Forum Reply | When do you think the Shareholders will be contacted about the offer at 14:37 12 Apr 2021
My Dad, Brother and I had 10 original shares each before the new share issue of a few years ago. They said at the time our shares would be converted into the new scheme but never received anything and still have the original share certificates etc. Any idea how this would work for us? Not expecting any money, we bought them purely to be able to go to the Shareholders meetings 25 years ago to be nosey! |

I agree, i did tell one of our younger fans (around 20ish i reckon) about himself for pretending to be crushed. He kept throwing himself against the barrier shouting i cant breath and laughing with his mates. I know he probably isn't as aware of the things like this that really did happen but i told him that people like him that were just trying to watch their football team really did get hurt/killed for what he was joking around for. He didn't care and carried on. However it might just be me getting more sensitive as i get older! |

It may be a controversial opinion but i think some of our fans are absolute idiots. I get to a few away games each season and each time i'm shocked by how some of our following act. Last night for example, a lady (Wimbledon fan) in the disabled area had to be taken away in tears after 4 or 5 blokes spent 20 minutes call her a C**t. Don't get me wrong, she tried to have a go back but clearly was not able to hold her own. The "supporters" who spent most of the first half arguing about barriers and that they couldn't see were embarrassing. Grown men of around 50-60 years of age, screaming in the face of a young female Steward, calling her a c**t is ridiculous. Perhaps getting there a bit earlier than 5 mins before kick off and expecting to be at the front would have been a better idea? I'm sure most supporters are ok, we see and hear about our fantastic support but some of our "followers" are an embarrassment. [Post edited 12 Feb 2020 8:31]

Not sure they are making a lot of sense. Before 10am the tickets kept flicking between available and sold out. When i spoke to the ticket office they told me it was them doing it! May be worth going down to the ticket office if you can, online seems to be an absolute lottery. |

I was on there at 10 but had no luck. Just after a friend of mine kept refreshing the page on his phone and managed to get me some. It was all very cloak and dagger from the ticket office. I rung at 9.30 and they said they had some left but weren't sure what they we're going to do with them and to call back at 10. At 10 they said they had some but didn't know how many and were still counting! Funny way of doing things :) |
