| News Comment | Blues and Foxes Fans to Join National Protest at 17:43:04
"Elijah Aldridge from Ipswich Town Fans Supporting Foodbanks believes there is a danger of losing the next generation of footballing fans. “Sir Bobby’s famous quote of a small child clambering up stadium steps for the first time, gripping their parent’s hand must not become a fairytale but continue to be our communities’ reality,” he said"" What a nonsense quote. My daughters first season ticket was £40. That was two years ago. She's now older so it's about three times that but still is superb value. Not sure why the foodbanks crew need to get involved at all the. Two completely seperate issues. |
| News Comment | Town Confirm Ogbene Signing at 10:45:26
With Delap busy at 9, this frees up Hutch to move to 10. When Burns is fit, no left back is going to look forward to playing us. 60 minutes of one and 30 minutes of the other. No rest! |
| News Comment | Town Closing in On Ogbene Signing at 10:27:57
Jugsy, did we watch the same game? Burns was right in of me Vs Liverpool first half. He won a series of headers, directing them well towards Delap. And his positioning and running against Robertson with the ball was good. Not to mention is role in the press. I admit I haven't watched it back, but live I thought he was out best attacker over that half. |

Extremely solid cover. Not sure how we can be underwhelmed really, but each to their own. I'd rather spend proper money on CM. |
| News Comment | Season Tickets Sell Out at 13:17:17
Texastom Season ticket holders are those who purchased either before our final League 1 campaign started or before promotion was sealed. Why should they make way for more recent converts? Apart form the run in, and eg Norwich, tickets for most games could easily be bought for individual games, and the new reselling system will help this - although of course demand will further increase in Premier League. |

| Blog Comment | Phoenix From the Flames at 11:10:43
Quality blog, and a very sound analytical approach. I agree this approach says more about the character of the squad than the absolute points won from behind. Of course you can never fully control for tactical differences. I suspect that teams who adopt the we will score more than you mindset will always do better on this measure - they are less likely to win when ahead and more likely to avoid defeat when behind. I would love to see two tables at the end of the season. One for home and one for away -the data will also be less volatile then (one win from behind for Wolves would nearly triple their Phoenix score). |
| Blog Comment | Play Our Guys Or Take on Loan? at 10:04:58
Good blog. I am excited by this guy. He is used to long loans (unlike AMN) and has oddles of natural talent. I think it will be a long time before anyone complains about him taking on too many players! |
| News Comment | TWTD Questionnaire 2016/17 Results Now Online at 21:51:20
"The quality of the regulars on Life's a Pitch is no doubt a key factor in their ongoing popularity and they therefore deserve a significant pay rise." One of very few moments this season to make me smile... |
| News Comment | McGoldrick Wins Cap as Ireland Lose at 21:30:33
Actually Evans showed a lot of ambition turning down £7m for him. With hindsight, given McGoldrick's injuries it would have been good business. |
| Blog Comment | Two Defensive? at 12:23:34
Interesting article and I understand the frustration. But it is hard to draw any conclusions from this. For instance this could just pick up the fact that Mick is more likely to play 2DM away from home where we would expect fewer wins anyway. Also didn't Hyam and Skuse play a lot together in the first half of 2014/15? A period when we won a lot of games. |
