Also, amazed no one has sort the gloves thing.
Phoenix From the Flames
Quality blog, and a very sound analytical approach. I agree this approach says more about the character of the squad than the absolute points won from behind.
Of course you can never fully control for tactical differences. I suspect that teams who adopt the we will score more than you mindset will always do better on this measure - they are less likely to win when ahead and more likely to avoid defeat when behind.
I would love to see two tables at the end of the season. One for home and one for away -the data will also be less volatile then (one win from behind for Wolves would nearly triple their Phoenix score).
Play Our Guys Or Take on Loan?
Good blog. I am excited by this guy. He is used to long loans (unlike AMN) and has oddles of natural talent. I think it will be a long time before anyone complains about him taking on too many players!

"The quality of the regulars on Life's a Pitch is no doubt a key factor in their ongoing popularity and they therefore deserve a significant pay rise."
One of very few moments this season to make me smile...
McGoldrick Wins Cap as Ireland Lose
Actually Evans showed a lot of ambition turning down £7m for him. With hindsight, given McGoldrick's injuries it would have been good business.
Interesting article and I understand the frustration.
But it is hard to draw any conclusions from this. For instance this could just pick up the fact that Mick is more likely to play 2DM away from home where we would expect fewer wins anyway.
Also didn't Hyam and Skuse play a lot together in the first half of 2014/15? A period when we won a lot of games.
Town Pair Win Caps as Ireland Lose Ahead of Squad Announcement
At the time I thought that 7m for McGoldrick and 4m for Murphy were both good deals for the club. But I would never criticise the club for keeping hold of them. The timing of both departures would have been very detrimental to each respective season. Also it would have been seen as a lack of ambition by the club. Perhaps we should have had replacements lined up ready to come, but that's easier said than done for players of that quality.

In terms of moments, Darren Bent vs Wigan to go top at Christmas and David Wright scoring that header at PR to stop the 14 game winless run
Sears: We Can Still Make the Play-Offs
Of course we can, we are 4 points away with 8 games to play including one game against a direct rival. But there are 4 teams going for one place, so it is unlikely.
