We definitely were looking at better quality Ipswich Town players on the pitch today. Without Pennington and Walters I think we would have lost the game. With Huws (everyone keeps mentioning him) back and perhaps with the addition of Collins too we will be even stronger.
Things are looking better and I think Hurst has quickly learnt what he needs at this level and evolved accordingly. Probably a lower mid table team now but I'm not worried about getting relegated as perhaps I was a few games ago. |

Yes please. Just what the team needs and with an ITFC connection too. I'm sure he's still got a lot to offer so I'm overjoyed. This is just about the best signing in that position we could have hoped for and made. Well done to everyone who was involved in making this happen. And with Tilt coming too and Huws back we will be stronger through the spine of the whole team. Quite frankly we will be a different proposition than the team we've been putting out in the last few weeks. Expect results to improve rapidly.

Everything wears out and needs replacing eventually. There is always pain during the process. We all know from experience that these projects cost more than you expect and take longer than you expect. A kitchen facelift merely papers over the cracks and puts off the real work and expense for another day. Better to face up to the big task at hand and hit it head on. Yes, it’s painful to us devoted fans of ITFC but deep down we know it’s for the best. Keep the faith brothers and sisters. |

Come on lads please cheer up my cancer ravaged body by giving us a win. My prognosis is now terminal so every game, week, point is even more precious than ever. I would love to depart this mortal coil knowing that we are heading back to the promised land playing attacking high pressing football and scoring goals for fun. Sadly (but thanks ITFC for the memories) I'm of an age where I can remember the 78 cup final, 81 cup final (first leg) and the most exciting of all the 2000 Wembley play off final against Barnsley.

I suspect if Hurst has got Shrewsbury promoted and stayed there these types of players he had earmarked for them to help try and keep them up I.e. he thinks they are good enough for our level. Do you really think he would not tell ME that he can't compete at this level if he thought we can't?
If Hurst believes they are worth a try then I am prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt for now until proven right or wrong. We all supported his appointment, so support his decisions. |

This isn't a great deal different from us paying £750,000 for a youngster brought through the Bristol Rovers Academy. The only difference is the age of the player. No point in bleating when someone higher than us in the football pyramid does it to us. |
