His movement especially was excellent.

I can't see a system where we start both him and Delap because after 70 mins who comes on to play up front?

I don't understand the furore about a potential buyback clause for Delap
at 11:52 3 Feb 2025

I'm sure Phil said before it's just a "first option" Man City have on him (same as Villa had on Philogene in the summer) so Man City can match any offer we accept from another club and he has to talk to them first

In the cup game it seemed liked Muric had completely lost all confidence and was too scared to come 6 yards off his line to collect a ball, whilst his head is in that place he really can't play for us! I still think he'll end up a very good keeper but we can't risk his mistakes this season

Michael Oliver reffing our game on Saturday (n/t)

Maybe with what happened this means he won't want to give any soft sendings off this weekend?
Which probably means a Southampton player will get away with murder!!

Broadcasters in talks to interview managers during games
at 14:35 24 Jan 2025

That's not needed at all.

I remember in the 90's for the CL (when it was only the champions) SAF used to speak to ITV before walking back on the pitch, I didn't mind that - TV channels don't want long as it eats into their advertising time!

Thing is club owners will probably agree to anything for more money, it'll have to come down to the PFA or LMA making a stand

Man United vs PSR

I guess that's why Rashford is off and they're considering selling Garnacho too - there'll need to be more sales too to get to £255m!!

He looks really promising, after Man City sold Palmer I can't see them giving up on him too, I'd have thought a loan would be more likely

Yeah it doesn't make sense for him to come here with Delap flying and West Ham having no fit strikers

How much would you pay for a seat at PR?
at 23:49 15 Jan 2025

I don't like spending £32 - but I do! However next season I think we're more likely to hike season tickets by a bit.

In contrast I've just bought England tickets at Wembley at £25 for an adult and £12.50 for a child, and maybe with binoculars I'll be able to see the pitch!!

I can't see this to be honest, he was too slow when he was at Man Utd about 3 seasons ago.

He was a good player but does a similar job to Morsy and Phillips

Could this be the answer

I think it's "how to ensure Ipswich go into administration after relegation"

On his day Rashford is one of the top strikers in Europe but who knows when his next day will be!!

He reminds me a bit of a young David James - brilliant for 89 minutes of the match but then will usually have 1 rush of blood and do something inexplicable

Fair play to Al Hamadi - made himself a handful

I'd written him off at this level, but I thought he looked a real handful when he came on, maybe showing if he's given more time he can prove he can play at this level

Another nice VAR problem to get enraged about. LOL.

I don't know if it was just him but I remember John Terry had started to hold his arms out wide to block shots and it was shortly after then when the "unnatural position" rule came in. Unfortunately continental referees see that as anything not by your sides.

I've thought for a while indirect free-kicks for accidental handballs (which would be 99% of them!) as it's shi# when matches get decided by something so insignificant

I don't think it's that, it's just we've been so used to 2 games a week in the EFL and in the PL it's just been 1.

It didn't help that we lost in the league cup in our first match. We've played 11 matches this season, Championship teams who lost in the league cup round 2 like us would have played 16 - that's 5 more weeks we'd have had a 2nd match.

To me it just seems like PL clubs who aren't in Europe have to put up with less matches so those who are don't have too many

VAR, What's the point ?
at 09:01 6 Nov 2024

Unfortunately it's here to stay
It was meant to have a second ref who can advise the first if he made a mistake, however more often than not the ref makes the correct decision and the VAR ref convinces him otherwise!!
