Let's not worry about a few biased comments from our local rivals. Maybe it'll be a disaster and we'll lose every match or perhaps we'll be in the top six...who knows. Fingers crossed for the latter. Let's just deal in facts.
I have both in the cupboard and thought they were equivalent. until I did a taste off! Worcester sauce is actually far superior. Hendersons also contains artificial sweeteners which is a shame.
It just makes you a decent human being. I imagine the sort of people who got upset with you are the same sort of plebs who shout and swear at children's football matches. We all love Ipswich and always want them to win, but sometimes things like this happen in football. That's why it's such a great game. I say good luck to Maidstone.
i agree, it was an interesting watch. They're at Norwich next, so it'll be interesting to see how they feel that compares with their trip to Portman Road.
I agree... I used to buy the odd pie or Bovril 30 years ago but it's now so overpriced. Not really sure why people can't last a few hours without having to eat something.
I was also stood on the Shed for that match with a Chelsea supporting friend. As all good mates would, I think he did his best to 'out me' as an Ipswich fan when Kywomya scored!! I've also been in the Norwich end for a derby game. I certainly wasn't daft enough to celebrate Darren Bent's winner. The only hassle I got was from the Police when I tried to break ranks from the Ipswich fans as we arrived at Norwich station.
Totally agree that the whole club is so much more professional. Bizzarely sorting out the catering and bars should be straightforward, however they've been woeful for years. Beer can be easily be pre-poured five minutes before half time. (as is the case in theatres) this would ease the mad rush at the start of half time. They are also staffed by youngsters who I feel have never set foot in a pub. It's not their fault, but they need proper training in manning a bar. It's not the same as selling ice creams or pies!!
It looked great and the new pop out sprinklers were very fancy. It did seem to play far too fast and at times the players struggled to control (and catch up with) the ball. It'll be interesting to see how the players on Saturday cope.
They're trying to fix something that was never an issue. I've been watching live football for over forty years and I've never left the match complaining I didn't see a full 90 minutes of action. Even when the ball isn't in actual play there's still things going on...you look at the celebrations, the fans, the players chatting to each other or the management, the seagulls etc. That's all part of the match experience. I don't care if the ball isn't being kicked/headed for 90 minutes.
What is needed is the technology to exchange batteries. You pull into the 'battery' station and for a fee, swap your near empty battery for a charged up one. That must the future as it will do away with all the home charging issues. They just need to get smaller!
