Every Ipswich player did well, but MOTM was Sam Morsy.

Ground out a great win against a really awkward team. Lots of good performances however thought Morsey and Edmundson were the best. Evans long pass to Norwood in the second half was top class. We created the better chances and should have scored a second to avoid squeaky bum time at the end!

New manager tonight. We have a new confidence and a new approach to games and this showed with midfield playing a more forward game and the centre backs surging forward when they could. The defence generally held their ground against the chair boys. Our forwards got the right positions but failed to total control. Norwood,s goal was fortunate and we will take that. Tonight we controlled the game with our terms and that was encouraging. Tonight we did not crumble good job.

Good start for the new man. Lets go again on Saturday and get some scores on the doors.

Good fighting qualities and a good basis for the manager to build upon.

We do like to make it tough for ourselves....and I can't help feeling that we way too frequently get the ref offside and it costs us free kicks. Bonne in particular was too vocal, and Norwood had a cracking game but does rare up too much.
When the ref made the mistake of just speaking to their player early on when he took out Aluko, he must have realised his mistake, as Town then ended up getting a couple of cards fairly swiftly.

Hladky made a few very odd decisions on when to boot upfield and when to tippytappy in our penalty box. Some crazy choices, and a shocking punch when he could have re-tied his laces b4 catching it.
Penny needs to actually jump for the ball not just hop a bit, and steam down the line past Aluko to either take a pass or take a player away to create space. Hanging around in the vicinity doesn't help his teammate at all.
Donacien, Edmundson and Woolfie did pretty well, a few moments, but.....
Sone and Evans were good in both defensive and attacking efforts, particularly Aluko.
Morsy is just a bit slow for me, but does a lot of good stuff too, mixes it a bit.
Burns was getting quite frustrated, a few dodgy crosses, but in the main looked quite dangerous.
Norwood and Bonne struggles first half, couldn't work out who was going to take flick ons etc. Didn't see too much of the ball. Norwood in particular battled well, a bit too vocal with the referee for me, but worked back hard.
Bonne however was whingeing constantly, trying hard to win free kicks instead of win the ball.
Chaplin lively when he came on!

Ipswich defence had their best game yet and needed to because Hladky inspired zero confidence. Wycombe lost the game with poor crosses and the few finishes were poor. We were better team in first half, a tad desperate in the first thirty minutes of the second but when Wycombe piled on the attack we began to use our breakaways more effectively and have more confidence on the attack. An exciting game, good value to watch. I wish ifollow would give more notice of when they are going to let us watch home games - I was committed to enduring a Wycombe viewpoint throughout the game.

goopd gamw against a bullying long kick team, especially 1st half . could have scored more to their 1eal chance

Make no mistake Wycombe are a difficult side and have been on a good run so this was a great result.

Just wish some of forward runs would result in goal attempts rather than passes. We don't score enough from edge of box, if we don't shoot how can we expect to score even from deflections! Lots of movement from our two forwards but picked up too late with result that get caught offside or moment is lost. Hopefully coaches will sort.
