Complaint to admin 13:41 - Jun 16 with 2630 views

Dear admin,

Why do the reports of our League Cup First Round always say 'Town have been handed an away draw at xxxxxxx', when in fact we always go on to lose? Every June, I pass on this good news to my eight-year-old son, only to see the devastation on his little face every August.

In future, could you please correct the reports to read 'Town have been handed a home/away defeat at xxxxxxxx'?

I'm always intrigued by the way has and have are used in relation to sport.

Am I correct in saying the team have but the club has..?
