Surely there can't be many people who go over the Orwell Bridge to get home from a game?
If you're heading Copdock or any further west on the A14 or anywhere on the south part of the A12 (ie; towards Colchester), you'd go out of town on Wherstead Rd / London Rd / Norwich Rd / Henley Rd (and cut across to Claydon for the A14).
If you were heading to Woodbridge or any further north up the A12, you'd use Foxhall Rd / Woodbridge Rd.
And if you were heading to Felixstowe, you would use Foxhall Rd / Felixstowe Rd / Nacton Rd? |  |

Not sure, but we do have one of the busiest containers ports in the world at the end of that road and any lorries coming through will have to go through town.

Strictly speaking there are in fact two Orwell Bridges as anyone who has sailed under them will know. Not really sure why they can't keep one of them open and contraflow on the other. Suppose it was too much trouble to put the contraflow in place each night. |  |
