I don't mind a flying one if Mick leaves at the end of the season, but I genuinely think if he left now we'd have a very, very, poor finish. I don't fancy another slog to safety.
If we and Mick part ways in midtable at the end of the season with Nydam, Downes, even Kenlock & Emmanuel pushing for the first 11, fine. We've been calling for youth for years and we're getting it. I don't doubt he'll be gone at the end of the season, and IMO and on the budget we have, the setup moves in the right direction MM or not. |  | | |

Our squad isn't great but it isn't one that should be struggling in the championship.
We have become petrified of losing our manager because of how 'Mick McCarthy' the team plays. Any other way would be a shock to the players. |  |

Agree, and it's not fear but a genuine feeling that a new manager would struggle to reform the style the squads been molded into over 5 years. If we end up with a scrap specialist we'll be repeating our mistakes. We need a solid base to blood in youngsters and make a few astutue signings.
I don't believe we're motoring too quickly forwards under MM, but I do fear for us if we base our next appointment on survival rather than a genuine and amicable progression. [Post edited 31 Oct 2017 22:29]
