Will the 4-1 loss to Fulham put palace off going for Bart?

Why?

Are you actually blaming Bart for that?

Players being able to tippy tappy into our box, is just plain awful defending

Not blaming Bart one bit.

Just been on Palace forums and they quoted the Derby loss, saying Hennesey would've saved both goals.

Just thinking if the "powers that be" were weighing something up, would that have put them off at all

*I want Bart to stay

It may be notable that Palace didn't send a scout to the Derby game (or QPR), not sure about the other night but the claims they've been keeping a close watch on him, at least in those games, doesn't appear to have been true.

Bart was flat-footed (possibly unsighted) for Derby's first goal... the blame was equally with Knudsen for allowing Winnall to beat him in the air and also Mick for the decision to defend corners with no-one on both posts.... I appreciate not all pro clubs do it, but it's a lower level basic - a man on the far post would have stopped Derby's first goal.

The second Derby goal was a rocket, very few 'keepers would have saved that shot. Other teams might not have given Winnall the opportunity to shoot in the first place by not fluffing two opportunities to clear the ball when our players had it or by closing Winnall down....

Yeah Bart is awful should have saved them shots and isn't a premier league keeper...

(hoping a palace scout is reading)

It was a complete surrender, they clearly did not care.

Everyone on this forum is always wrong.

....that have looked at him will have realised that whilst he is undoubtedly a very good shot stopper, he has a number of deficiencies that will stop him ever being a true top class keeper.

1. He isn't particularly comfortable with the ball at his feet.
2. His distribution isn't the best.
3. His handling from crosses can be inconsistent.

There's more to being a top goalkeeper these days.

1 and 2 are very important in the PL and I think that's why he won't be picked up by a PL side as a number 1 keeper.

To be fair, his distribution is a lot better this season, since he's been allowed to roll the ball out to defenders rather than kicking everything long.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Doubt it but it doesn't show some of the others in a very good light
And, it shows the naivety of MM's tactics
He now may be desperate to hang on to his PR job?
