Amazon Echo on 22:27 - Jan 21 by StokieBlue | It sounds incredibly lazy. It does also sound convenient however you can do all that from your phone as you say. Does anybody really use CD's anymore? As others have pointed out you are just giving the tech companies another ability which they can abuse (if they so were tempted). Doesn't mean I won't get one at some stage though. SB |
I still use CDs. I don't have internet access on my phone, I don't have an iPod or a playlist, and I still also listen to music on the radio via my Myrad hifi & massive Linn Keilidh floorstanding speakers!

Someone posted on here the other day about audiophile quality steaming/ downloading kit. It is possible if you’re that bothered

I'm guessing that depends on decent net connection speed tho?

Don't you have landline internet access at all? It doesn't need to be particularly fast

Amazon Echo on 19:32 - Jan 21 by Burwell_Blue | I have Prime (who wouldn’t?) and if Amazon want to hear me and the missus bickering for 8hrs a day they are more than welcome. [Post edited 21 Jan 2018 19:33]

I stopped Prime - simply not worth the fee, their delivery disservice is atrocious, and anything I now can't avoid getting from Amazon because not available elsewhere, I get delivered to a local pick-up point (or Kindle).

I thought you meant cable connection - and obviously you don't know about the times when I'm not on here! I share the IP with my tenant in annexe to house - same cable to same dish but we have separate routers, which sometimes conflict with each other & mean downtime for both. (Looking at having separate line installed).
