Manager news 12:39 - May 14 with 3060 views | DanFord | Salford City, now promoted to the Conference National, have appointed Graham Alexander as their new manager. I know they have lots of cash and they'll be paying him a League One wage, but that's a hell of an appointment. Wouldn't bet against them going up now, especially with the money they have for signings and six play off places. In other news Rangers have signed Scott Arfield. What a signing that is for the SPL. He's a very good player.

He's a decent premier league player. He was extremely good at Championship level. When you consider that most SPL clubs star players are strikers that scored 10 goals in a season at League One level, signing a player still good enough to play regularly in our Premier League is a big coup for an SPL club that isn't called Celtic.

What happened to them. Assume it was them that got them promoted?

Couldn't agree more about those two clowns. Awful managers who got very lucky with the money they had to spend on the team. Very limited football knowledge by all accounts, and always came across as foul mouthed bullies on the TV. No doubt they will walk into a job before start of the season though. Lets hope the chairman who employs them has plenty of money.

Yes, exactly this. The sort of managers Salford needed to get out of the lower leagues, but mixing it with some good teams in the Conference they clearly needed to step up, which they have done with Alexander. Very much doubt them 2 will ever get another job like that they had at Salford.

Ruthless. Wise move though. Wonder how far Salford can go.

As others have said, they were let go last week. They did get them promoted, but only just.... and although the tv programme maybe selective about it's editing, they way they are portrayed would suggest it was despite, not because of those two.
