Maguire is a starter.
Bertrand has had a poor season. Rose will be in.
Lascelles wont go. But I agree, should be in the squad.
Shelvey wont be in the squad, and although he does pass well some of the time, hes far from consistent.
Kane and Vardy wont play together.
Agree that Alli doesnt seem to perform for England. I thought Sterling was very good in the friendlies.
Id love to see Loftus Cheek in that midfield. Hes the most talented midfielder that we have. |  |

We always hear that players have played far too much football in a season.
Then we complain when they havent had enough.

I'd disagree that Alli doesn't perform for England and I think it's strange to start Lallana based on "current form" who has played 25 minutes in about the last 6 months.
That team does show how far below previous talent pools we are at the moment. The junior levels are doing well though so hopefully some will come through over the next few years.

I dont think we have the household names that we have previously had. But then again, the last lot got us nowhere.
There is some serious talent in that team that we would rave about if they were foreign.
Walker and Rose are 2 of the best wing backs in the prem.
Stones is one of the most expensive centre backs in world football.
Sterling has had a great season.
Alli and Kane are two of the best forward players in the league.
Loftus Cheek is a rolls royce player and I think this will be his chance to shine.
Lallana is a quality, two footed player. | |

Yeah I think the best option is smash balls up to Kane or over the top to Vardy. Not a bad shout in terms of team selection with a mix of long ball specialists and physical defenders. Not sure what Lallana is going to do apart from feeding off the odd knock down. Gutted that the Ox got injured. He'd started to look very promising in the centre of midfield, breaking up play and driving forward with pace. Something that none of Dier, henderson or Livermore can do.
I just hope that Livermore doesn't get selected and we don'd play Henderson & Dier together. I'd rather Delph or Lallana in there (or ideally RLC) alongside one of them who can add a little bit of dynamism and thrust rather than backwards and sideways. |  | | |
