Whilst waiting for my wife to finish one of her two voluntary jobs at Elephant & Castle I spied an Ipswich training too coming towards me.
I grabbed my Ipswich badge air freshener and caught his attention, he kindly spent a few minutes talking to me. I did not recognise him but guessed player rather than fan, so asked him if he was a player, he said ex-Ipswich player now with Tranmere.
The young man introduced himself as James Alabi. I recall the name and said that I recall he had scored for us, which made him smile. Yes, against Doncaster.
I wished him well for the season ahead.
I will wiki it in a minute, but how long ago did he leave us? Hasn't he been at a few clubs? Should have asked him why he was wearing his Ipswich top and also fav cheese. Dammit.
Got to say he was a very nice young man.
