Listening to fans celebrating I spared a thought for those in Braintree Spoons or similar. Any gashes in the back of the head to report anyone?

Not this time mate

I went to a different pub this time. Better atmosphere and nicer people. Plus that German bombers song wasn't being sung every 30 seconds

Not too far from me, keep meaning to drop in at some point. It looks like they've got someone running it who's making an effort, which is nice.

Back in the early 70s I used to go there sometimes at lunchtime from school and play bar billiards. Glad to see it is still going strong.

None of those commercial establishments are there any more, in fact the Angel is the only business still on Bradford Street as far as I can tell.
