It's all very bizarre. Rolled over to have his tummy tickled by Putin the same way May did with him. I guess we know where we stand in that pecking order!
Trump's normal arrogance and confidence evaporated within touching distance of Putin, but then he's back to normal/worse now? It's fascinating watching and must be a psychologist's dream.

Little wet noodle, like a fan boy. Comments from Arnie after Trump got cosy with Putin.

Yes, he’s now saying he meant the opposite of what he said in Helsinki. He doesn’t trust Putin, but trusts the US agencies.
So he’s admitting Putin is guilty, just after he has left the country. A coward...
On his repeated expressions of support in Helsinki for Putin’s denial of — rather than US Intel community’s assertion of facts about — Russian cyberattacks on USA, President Trump now says he misspoke and meant to say the exact opposite.
To state the obvious: What President Trump said in Helsinki — and not his ‘I meant to say the opposite’ denial today — is consistent with what he has expressed four years… An affinity for Putin & skepticism about the US intelligence community’s assertions about Russia.
Moreover, POTUS did two FNC interviews after his Helsinki press conference and at no point in the clips that I’ve seen from Hannity or Tucker did the president back off what he said at that press conference in terms of believing Putin, skepticism of US IC, and moral equivalence.

Trumps recent interview with his simpering gimp Piers Morgan was just a series of lies and u turns on the mess he’d left at NATO and in the UK, in some ways he was quite likeable, but it was just made up wittering... even Morgan’s production team were forced into a whole series of clarifications and fake news fact checks after each section...
You really couldn’t make it up... and for him to stand in front of the worlds Press and side with Russia and question the detailed and unequivocal findings of his own security services... and then do a 360 and state he does in fact back them.. it’s mind blowing
It also seems clear that the NATO countries are sticking with the spending commitments under Obama... and yet he has now repeatedly claimed a massive victory and gained significantly more spending
Trump and fake news by Guthrum16 Jul 2018 19:34 "Fake news" doesn't mean news which is fake. It means "a thing which is different from Trump's professed views at that particular moment". Including things which he himself said previously.
"No longer relevant" might be a better rendering than "fake". The past has gone, is no longer true. Sort of like a reverse Papal Infallibility.
It allows Trump an unlimited ability to escape being pinned down by anything he says.
His core supporters simply don't care. They have mastered Doublethink, in which something can be both true and untrue at the same time. They also don't care what others think.
Neither does Trump himself. After all, he can make up a reality which is however he wants it to be. Where recent protests on UK and Finnish streets were as much in favour of him as against. That then becomes "true news".
