I’m heading for Lisbon in a couple of weeks and realise that, while I’m there, Benfica are at home to Sporting.
Anyone on here have any ideas how to get hold of tickets for a match such as this? (I’m aware that demand may be quite high...) |  |

I wrote a long blog on it when I went to see them in the Eusebio cup a couple of summers ago on here. To save you time, essentially I just queued up at the kiosk with a load of locals and Italians and barged my way through the scrum to a window.
Then I shouted and pointed a bit in my best portuglish and shoved some euros under the slot.
Was brilliant. A great night out and great atmosphere. It’s no Wigan away though |  |

I’ve just remembered there’s a benefica shop pretty central they might sort you out. Always worth asking your hotel concierge too. | |

This has just reminded me of when I got tickets (through air miles) the season before last. It was the last home game of season where they were expected the clinch the title...everything booked up and then they go and change kickoff from a Sunday to Saturday. I still went but missed the game - gutted!
Lovely city though, very hilly! Took a nice train ride through Estoril (another top tier team) to the beach | | | |

I got some in 2012 for the Braga game.
Bought online easy enough, and picked up at the ground.
No idea how easy it would be to get tickets for Sporting though but be a banging game.
Sidenote - The Emirates is essentially the same ground but 7000 seats smaller. Ouch... |  | | |
