We have had to endure several years of the Mick McCarthy reign and now we have Paul Hurst who to be fair to him everyone was crying out for. A new guy, attacking football. Not the same old, same old bland McCarthy style. But who's to blame for the current situation ? Hurst brought in his on players and dispensed with a handful of players who were somewhere between Championship and Premier League class. Hurst must accept a large slice of the blame, but as with anything there's always something or someone behind them. Namely Marcus Evans. He was content with McCarthy keeping us trundling along in the Championship without have to dip into his fortune. Now he has Hurst who made him a tidy sum by getting rid of all our best assets. The blame lies firmly with M.E. ITFC will continue to go down the Swanney as long as he's at the helm.

Very few people seemed to question the appointment of Hurst at the time. I did not have sufficient knowledge to do so. He did seem to have a plan, and identified players he wanted to sign. His judgement of these players has proved to be poor.

You assume Evans is here for footballing reasons. Big mistake. He is here because football can bring in huge income unexpectadly by serendipity - eg Conor Wickham, Totem Pole sold to Barnsley, injury-prone wreck sold to Bournemouth etc, with minimal controls. And there is always the chance of a lottery win via promotion. His £8.5 million outlay has yielded a tdy profit already. IF Town were to get promoted there is a a many hundred million windfall to be scooped. Where else can you get a 1000% return for making a five minute video and scribbling a 5 point plan on the back of a fag packet (after ten years).

'His £8.5 million outlay has yielded a tdy profit already'

If you ignore the money he puts in every season offsetting our losses and the fact that our debt has grown substantially since he took over this is an entirely correct conclusion to draw.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

In order to succesfully troll, you need to base your comments in some facts ratehr than obvious fibs.
