Agreed. Chambers is a very low quality centre back and even if he is the best captain in the division(which he isnt) I can't see how it has resulted in positive results? |  | | |

It's hard to argue with this. I'll relate this to a baseball anecdote. Ralph Kiner was a star player for the Pirates, a very bad team in the 50s. They once hit last place. But Kiner, as always, had a great season and he asked for a raise. His GM said no in this way...
"Ralph, we came in last place with you, we can come in last place without you."

The thing is, looking at the team which was picked today it’s difficult to identify more than 3 senior players (Chambers, Sears and Gerken) with any significant experience at Championship level. | | | |
