There are two numbers there but the bottom 3 stands out. That's a good (but largely failing) team and ridiculously expensive too. The bench alone was probably paid more than our current first XI. |  |

It was and then we went on the third of Jewell's really good runs in his time here. Which was great, right until he got found out again and then it was sh1t.
That was certainly a match to remind everyone that giving up before the start isn't always necessary. Expectations weren't high that night but we were very good - JET's pass and Chopra's finish for the first goal set the tone. |  |

I wouldn't bet on it. That period was when we were spending most under Evans and losing 10+ million a season IIRC. The overspend was almost all on wages. | |
