I watched it last night. Very enjoyable fluff, with some decent music finally performed to its best , all topped off with a some pleasant location spotting for those of us Suffolk based.

I didn't actually get why there was no coca-cola. Was it just another thing for the parallel universe or was there some relation to the Beatles?


Pepsi Co obviously paid them a few quid for product placement - there was an unnecessarily long lingering shot of his Pepsi when his Mum brought a drink to him in his room.

I was an extra on Gorleston beach when it filmed last June.
Fascinating how the whole day of filming gets condensed into just a few minutes of screen time. Lots and lots of takes and Himesh Patel must have come down the stairs and sung Help about half a dozen times.
No payment obviously but did get a free burger and ice cream for being there.
Danny Boyle was everywhere lining up shots spending time standing on the beach making sure camera shots were just right.
It was a really enjoyable day and good to be in a film no matter how small the part.
