It's certainly different to hear a manager criticize Evans this much, but not much different from what Keane said about Evans and his staff in his book when it came to the mess around transfers and that was what, 10 years ago now.

Turmoil? Give over. Bury are in turmoil. Bolton are in turmoil. We're starting the season as one of the strongest sides in the division, the manager and fans would just be happier if we had a couple more faces through the door. |
Turmoil may have been a bit too strong a word but the point i was trying to make is that it is not good on the eve of the new season for the manager to be slating the Chairman's ability to run the football club and his lack of investment (however true we know that to be) and stating that without the signings there is no chance of promotion. Lets hope the players take no notice and do the business on the pitch or the word turmoil may not have been too far off the mark. |  |

Well for one thing, Sheepshanks wasn't too popular after taking the club into administration. It wasn't some great love in. For another thing, hope was in pretty short supply in the couple of years prior to ME buying the club. We lost Bent, Kuqi and Miller for not very much and replaced them with Sam Parkin. Just because things aren't great now it doesn't mean they were much better before ME came in. | |

There is no doubt that PL has almost had enough of Evans mis-management. Exactly the shambles that Keane described in his book. With more money likely to come in this week Evans will need to release some of it or I think Lambert will walk if results are poor. The central defence situation for the opening match is a complete joke.
