Worst half I've ever seen. Abject.

I think that honour for me goes to Burley's last match at Grimsby where Steve Kabba looked like Messi.

Is this worse than that or is that not one you have seen?

Oooh crikey. Now that was bad. There was another performance against Plymouth when Paul Mariner was in charge that was just as bad.

Missed that one thankfully. Sheff Wed at home is a good shout but at least they were good with a young Ross Barkley on loan. We've just been made to look like a pub side by a bang average League 1 side.

That was a part of the thing about the Grimsby performance. We should have been pushing for promotion from the Championship and Grimsby were relegation fodder from it.

Aside from a cold wet Tuesday night in a town that was no better than Lowestoft we were put to the sword by Steve Kabba. You remember him don't you? Exactly!

Mogga said afterwards "cream always rises to the top". I would add as long as you don't keep shaking it. PL please note.

Yannik Bolasie tore us to shreds that game.

I do remember Steve Kabba. In fairness to him he'd walk into this Town side. That was really poor tonight. Really poor. And it was cold and wet. Just not a good night all round.

Based on that performance that night he would but we are in League 1 and that was about the best he played, I believe. He never really made it in the Championship and our team at that time was considered good enough for the Premier League. We were woeful that night in the context of the team we had and the one they had.

My worst was against Stockport County at home in 1997 under Burley. Lost 2-0, I think Brett Angel scored 2. I think the crowd was just under 9k...... although tonight was close

Managed by Megson weren't they?

That was dire and was the one I always quoted but I think the Grimsby away one was worse. Stockport just did what they were good at, stopping us play and catching us out on the break.

Was this the game that preceded David Johnson and Brian Hamilton's arrivals?

There was a definite turning point from that night on in the context of that season, and subsequent two.
