Labour Party 22:54 - Dec 13 with 3542 viewsvapour_trail

Not my default go to option but I have voted for them at times.

Their next move is important. The runners and riders look suspect.

Rayner, Thornberry and Long Lewis are loose cannons. Starmer has huge intellect but not sure he takes the four nations with him.

Must be Jess Phillips.

Trailing vapour since 1999.

Watch the media, the litmus test is the media, any prospective Labour leader that is promoted, backed and endorsed by The Times, Sun, Telegraph, Mail etc is a prospective Labour leader to well avoid and one that will serve the owners interests and not the interests of Labour party supporters.

No mention of Hilary Benn which surprise me. He has a girl's name and is a bloke which makes him the ideal candidate. Add on his common sense plus a bonus point for family history in mad socialism views whilst being ever so privaliged and I'd say he ticks most boxes. A bit Brexity perhaps.... but in a year he'll be able to say 'I told you so' to the mad Brexiteers and those that want to 'get Brexit done' without knowing how or what the consequences are.

TBH a leader endorsed in such a way stands a good chance of actually winning an election. See Blair as an example

I'll start the People's Party of TWTD.

Manifesto
- I'll raise income tax by 0.5% to buy-out ITFC and transfer it into public ownership.
- We'll have a lotto draw each week from TWTD members to decide who takes the team that week.
- All transfer targets to be identified via the forum and graded according to def info status.
- All acolytes of PPTWTD also to receive a free hobnob on public holidays, which from now on will be rescheduled on the birthdays of ITFC legends.
- Any nasty stuff going on in the country, Phil gets the final say with his banhammer of doom (automatic deportation)

Awesome!

I'll vote for that.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

"He has a girl's name and is a bloke which makes him the ideal candidate."

He'd be close to the top of my shortlist if I was them. Agree on his Brexit stance; currently it'd be risky, but by the time the next election comes around views on that front could be very different.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

The media smear campaign would be based on his father's views
