Surely thought she could read signs written in English, and must have looked up which hospital to go to and to call a Uber driver. Or what telephone number to call? There must have been warnings and guidelines on the flight she was on too

I think it was likely just selfish disregard for the taxi driver and medical staff. She's flown overseas (to china even? don't know) so i doubt she was unaware of the situation. In fact she must have known as people don;t take themselves to hospital for what would have seemed like a cold. She just didn't care.

And also on any flight coming over from China - there would have been announcements on the plane?? If the authorities are being as stringent as they are making us believe, this would have happened.

Academic estimates are around the same I believe but more worrying are the projections based on flights taken out of China.

For instance, Indonesia claims it has 0 cases but the analysis predicts 5000-10000 at least.

Some governments just aren't forthcoming with information. I see the US have had a pop at China today for not being transparent enough. They added war time conditions to 14 more cities I believe.

Non-fortcoming governments would include the UK.

There are confirmed corona virus patients in non-isolation facilities in an unamed hospital in Surrey... which raises the question of just how many there are in this country.... and whether the NHS can cope.
