Just wanted to add some perspective. In 30 years of professional baseball (announcer for minor league teams), I've seen stranger things happen than what we're facing. We have 9 games left, six at home against nominally weaker clubs, so, as Yogi Berra said, 'It ain't over 'til it's over."

All these predictions and estimations on what's needed to make the top 6, the optimism should be applauded, but we're forgetting we can't string any sort of results together at the moment and we're so out of form it's not funny. Look at Tuesday's display alone, how on earth are we suddenly going to spring into action and get 21 points from the last 9 games? It just isn't happening, we've flatlined, no matter what we're all 'hoping' for. A bit of reality for us all, since January 1st 2020 we've played 12 games and amassed 14 points......yes 14 points! | |

I’m as annoyed and angry as anyone, but I just don’t get the attitude of just giving up.
Regardless of how we played in the first half, the crowd were Fleetwood’s ‘12th’ man on Tuesday in the closing stages and similarly against Oxford.
If it was Leeds (and I really don’t like them) in the same position having to win to remain in contention, their ground would be full and behind the team.
We are effectively playing ‘play off’ games from now to the end of the season. Let’s put everything aside and help be the difference. Just a thought..... |
