It's hard to fake enthusiasm and to drum it up when the writing (or Tuesday's team-sheet) is on the wall. I've seldom heard less noise as in the first half till the silence did indeed give way to the groans and then some criticism and eventually booing.
I don't think many would have set off determined to moan or catcall, but hope was buried some good while back under the combined weight of continuous crushing disappointments.
I shall set off tomorrow hoping for better, but as I get nearer the probable reality will inevitably have its now customary deflating effect. | |

Despite my concerns I am going to give the club, players, management my support. Yes things are not going well. The only thing I can offer is positive support. I have followed this club since 1976. I will not give up when the chips are seemingly down. |  |
