It's really deflating knowing that we have a manager leading us who has failed for 2 seasons in a row.
Knowing he'll have little patience from the fan base if things go badly
This is a key point for me.
He's going to have no good will to fall back on, it'll be fairly hostile from the outset. So if we started doing not so well we'll have to sack him and it'll probably be yet another season wasted.
Utter shambles. He should have been gone as soon as it was announced the season was over.

No doubt we will get a few Evans soundbites over the next few weeks about the academy, the 'plan' etc. But can you honestly see Lambert being the man to bring through and regularly get these young lads in the starting 11 when he is going to be under enormous pressure to pick up points from the first whistle?

It will only be hostile online as there won't be any fans in the ground. I'm sure Lambert will whisper some tripe in Marcus's ear and he will believe everything is all rosy and that we're still in a transitional phase.

Completely agree. One poor defeat in our opening fixtures and any support will turn and become vehement. Any poor decisions or mistakes that harp back to this season and the atmosphere changes instantly. All of this I can see happening, all of this will get PLs back up and make for poor press conferences and a decline in relations.
This is a lost cause. Even perfection will leave doubts given our start to this season. The decisions being made at board level are laughable really.
