Remember when mid-table in the Championship was unacceptably bad? (n/t) 20:37 - Jun 9 with 3859 viewsBlueBadger

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Lot of re-writing of history going on that Town fans were somehow happy with the mid-table Championship as we look at the appalling state we find ourselves in.

Bollox.

1000s of season ticket holders were leaving because the football was unwatchable, not the league position.

And many could see the club was struggling and were trying to calmly offer some perspective.

It's not so different to the Brexit mentality.

You had people on one side asking for everyone to look at the bigger picture and you had others shouting hysterics, taking no notice of the overall message whatsoever.

Then after the event they still won't have it.

This is how the same mistakes get repeated; when people refuse to learn.

Apparently it's called 'doubling down' or something.

For the third time on this thread, didn't say anything about this season being better.

Laast season was sh*t as well. But apparently the 'match day experience' was better. I'm not a regular by any means, but I fail to see how 'tap it about ineffectually then lose without a whimper' is any better than 'workmanlike draw or win' as an experience.

I expect the huge drop in season ticket sales next season will be attributed to COVID-19 too...

Lot of rewriting of history here. Over Mick's 5 years here we lost fewer than 1000 fans off our average gate. The fans that drifted away in the end were the ones who joined up for the ride in 2014/15 and the season after. We lost way more fans over the 3 years before Mick came in.

I think our gates now, assuming Lambert does stay, will genuinely crash.
