Even more impressive when you consider that Blackburn have one of the more dysfunctional and comical owners in league football.
His managerial career has been a bit up and down - probably shows that like most managers his record more or less reflects what he inherits, rather than any mystical managerial ability..
Curious also that he was pretty hapless at Boro, with one of the better owners and pretty impressive at Blackburn with one of the worst. |  |

Pretty sure it’ll be McGreal next, unless Colchester are promoted then overtake us (not beyond the realms of possibility). Mowbray will have to flatline at Ewood, or elsewhere if he decides to move up, if he’s ever going to look at us as a possibility. | |

I think McGreal is the most likely candidate to be the next Ipswich manager, I think he is doing a good job at Col U, has some exciting little players there, an all round well run club for that level.
Regardless whether or not they are promoted, if the job was offered to him, I think he’d snap it up in a heartbeat.
However, one problem, we have a manager under a 5 year contract. |  |

They have a squad better than average Championship footballers.
Douglas is an average championship player, Tabb is an average championship, Cole Skuse was an average championship. They wouldn't get a sniff in the Blackburn side. |
The Douglas who played for Brentford (and which we hoped we were going to get) would get in Blackburn’s side. Tabb played with distinction throughout his career and was great for us in 2014/15, he’d get in there. Skuse alongside Bradley Dack wouldn’t be too shabby in any lineup.

I wanted him to take over after Burley was sacked but apparently most wanted a clean break. I thought he did ok in the few matches he had in charge. He used a different formation, had his own ideas, looked like he could do a job. |
At the time, we wanted a manager who could revitalise a massively under achieving squad so promoting GB's #2 didn't seem the right call. His one win in 4 games as caretaker didn't exactly advertise his credentials as the short term fix we needed at the time. |  |

Not sure how I've just seen this.
Dack has been injured pretty much all season and even with him, there is a reason no sides that regularly compete have gone for him.
Bradley Johnson was let go by Derby because he wasn't good enough
Stewart Downing is not the Stewart Downing that once was
Adam Armstrong has been player lower league football his whole career and Lewis Holtby has played hardly any game the last few years.
They aren't bad players but they are vastly overachieving | |
