if you ban smoking completely around pubs, you might as well shut the whole industry down now, pubs cant survive on johnny two pints of lager tops because they dont like the taste of alcohol who only turns up at Christmas , smokers will stay at home and drink booze from the supermarket, its cheaper, and they dont have to put up with people lecturing them on how to live their lives |  | |  |

Its the same as footy - you need to catch the youngsters early and teach them about the pub / footy. Banning them cuts off the future. |

No one is lecturing you on how to live your lives. We just don't want to breat in your smoke and end up having our clothes smell like an ashtray thanks.
With that said I think it should be allowed outdoors. It seems a good compromise that inside is banned and outside it is allowed*

Feck me there's some serious stereotyping going on there.
I know some hardened drinkers who are regular pub goers.
I can honestly say I no longer know many smokers.
