oh wow, they really ought to have some sort of lottery to decide who gets the job of delivering the news ...

And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

But then I'd be ignoring the evidence.

The EHRC may have new evidence but as the JLM and others have thrown the kitchen sink at Corbyn and the left over 5 years then I don't see how that's possible.

None of the evidence was as compelling and detailed as the primary source evidence in the Labour leaks document. I understand why that evidence is massively compromising for the Labour party and the Labour right but until there's some honesty and transparency over this rather than a coverup and whitewash then the Labour party may well be toast as an electoral force anyway.

A very interesting read. And amazing the awful stuff you and Sam Matthews can ignore in the name of factional grift.

But the primary source evidence in the Labour Leaks contradicts the statements the same people made to Panorama.

You can see how problematic that is and how prejudicial that is to the inquiry surely? The evidence backs up the complaint that the Panorama documentary was critically flawed and that the reporting was substandard.

Try to convince me that they're not sweeping it under the carpet. And along with it the evidence that a few too many of the radical or at least self-serving Labour right have been fighting to keep the Tories in as long as it kept Corbyn out.

I hope the membership clears out the lot of them - and any of the leadership and PLP who try to excuse this. This is a frightening abuse of basic democratic and representative principles.

What are these statements? The conduct of some people indicated in the leaked report was unacceptable and has no place in the Labour Party, although many have now left or are no longer in senior positions. However, the leaks don't redeem Corbyn, his 2017 campaign or anyone around him.

How was the reporting "sub standard?" I saw a bunch of innocent people who had suffered racist abuse, and a previous leadership that went after the whisteblowers. which caused them to receive even more abuse and is now costing the party 6 figures to settle.

Here's the proof they're not "sweeping it under the carpet"

They should be praised for having the courage to speak out about racism, but instead they have been vilified and had their reputations attacked for doing it

The reporting was awful - and I don't know anyone reputable who can explain why it was good.

It used the idea that they are whistleblowers to say "This Is the Truth!". Was it b@ll@cks. It was a pure hatchet job by a renowned pro-Israel and islamophobic journalist, aided and abetted by hardcore UK zionists and Labour Party factionalism. And yet this was seen as reliable enough testimony and good reporting!!??

Yeah, I know there's an inquiry. And you've got an awful lot to learn if you think inquiries in the wrong hands can't be about sweeping things under the carpet.

What I'm worried about is how can the inquiry look at the evidence in the Labour Leaks while the party leadership supposedly can't in the libel case? That's an enormous red flag for me that the party leadership already know the inquiry won't embarrass them on that score.

I know you might feel you're getting your Labour Party back. But if this nonsense continues they're done IMO. And I'll actually see them as I should have seen many of them from the start - as the first trench defending the status quo and the most dangerous of the opponents to progressive policies.

I may "hold my nose" and vote for them. But I'll be damn sure we also hold them to account and see some justice for what's been going on.

What's your evidence that they were vilified?

I think certain of the most prominent individuals' testimony can be criticised and doubted based on their own words in the Labour Leaks document. That's a completely different narrative and "truth" emerges.

Although there's probably little doubt that a couple are much more innocently caught up in the crossfire. Same as the many people on the other side of that who were unfairly accused of antisemitism and who also deserved better.

Kill two bird with one stone as she'll bring her journalist mate along.

Luciana Berger will stick to corporate lobbying and steer well clear from progressive politics ... hmmm, you might be right.

since you name me.

the labour leak was a document written by corbyn's mates as they were shown out of the door following starmer's election. it's purpose was to defend corbyn and blame everyone else. i wonder who leaked it?

you have spent the last 5 years repeatedly denying the seriousness of the anti-semitism crisis in the labour party using every half truth and smear you can find. if the ehrc finds that the orchestrated campaign amongst corbyn's mates to deny the seriousness of the problem in labour was in itself part of the problem, i fear phil will have to delete your post history - i can't see him going through it post by post to remove your nonsense.

Another pure dodge of the evidence. In this case testimony but backed up by the complaints data and Matthews’ own e-mails.

Literally the only response you ever have is to double down on the smeary accusations.

The “Oh Jeremy” thread will go down to about two pages from 40.

I see Mark Lewis has been instructed by John Ware to go after those who libelled him. That’s another three threads that will have to go.

Yawn. You still can’t address evidence.

What’s your response to Schneider’s version of the story? What’s your response to Matthews’ own e-mails that confirm a lot of this stuff wasn’t being actioned by him? And most importantly what are you afraid of by ignoring it?

You’re never going to catch me ducking anything. Yet you do it all the time.
