I think (and this is unfair to the player himself) it's what it represents in terms of how far we have fallen. Released Portsmouth player who is a big target man rather than high calibre player. It's just a bit depressing.

Obviously hope he does well if he does join. At best you could call it a pragmatic signing and hopeful he could be effective at least

It doesn't really matter where he has come from? Did Portsmouth try to keep him or know they couldn't? It doesn't matter anyway. We are not going to be spending millions on another Priskin, Chopra or JET. Perhaps spending low on players with potential will work where our blowing money didn't. How many were excited about signing Walters, Mings or even Cresswell? If the player can be as good Keiffer Moore he is more than good enough for us right now.

What matters most is blending a team and getting the most out of it.

What a load of nonsense, he’s a solid player at this level.

I’ve read a few gorps on here claiming Will Keane would be a better option, farcical.

Wow calm down fella. What a massive over reaction and i think misinterpretation of what i was saying.

I was taking the flack away from the player and making the point of it being more about what it representsto fans and hence the reaction.

Also i assume you were taking a personal.pop.at me with the Keane comment and calling me a 'gorp' for having a different opinion on a player. Classy. Thanks.

Poll: Genuine answers please on what you would choose next season!

13 games and 0 goals last season for the Biggest Club South Of London. If it was Mick Mccarthy signing him and he was 5 years younger I might be prepared to doubt the cynicism but under Lambert...

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

13 games last season. 0 goals.

Even Will Keane would be embarrassed at that.

That's not true. That was a punt at young potential as was Moore.

Plus, we had a competent manager.

Do you not like Lambert? I wish you’d say more often.

Poor use of stats to illustrate a point mate. Murphy has similarly fruitless seasons before becoming an Ipswich player, Hawkins usually bags 7 - 12 goals a season across all competitions quite comfortably.

I can only assume those down on him haven’t seen much of him and don’t understand what he will bring to the squad.
