I know you're a rational guy and enjoy listening to you on the pod etc but what is the main driver for you wanting Lambert out so much more than any other before?

I’m calm sweetheart. Honestly, if Joe says there are issues and it’s time for a change. Then I believe him.

itfcJOE - on 16:29 - Sep 3 by ITFC_Forever | I was very underwhelmed as soon as I read Hurst was going and he was to be appointed (I think Matt Holland spilled beans on Talk Sport?), in the same way I was when Jewell was appointed. However, I was prepared to give them both a chance. In Lambert's case, we all know the damage Hurst managed to wreak in such a short time, and was happy to give him a free hit for the rest of the relegation season..... even though he had best part of three-quarters of a season, he still had the benefit of the doubt thanks to the two man demolition Hurst and Deputy Doig done on the club. But while results for the first part of last season were good, performances were never more than ok, and often worse. Then once we lost to Accrington and Rotherham in quick succession, we didn't even have the results to point to any more. The contstant chopping and changing of players and formations just caused widespread confusion. We have a very decent squad for this level (albeit probably need another CB), but PL has absolutely no idea on the formation or players to get the best from it. A preview of the season I read last week said it is often said that PL could inspire players to run through a brick wall for him - but they didn't know how to so. This alludes to his PR / man-management strengths and his tactical weakness. And when that strength is no longer apparent, it leaves him with absolutely nothing. A squad low on morale, with no identity, shape or strategy of how to improve. Get rid of him now. This is a crucial season for us and we can't afford to waste any (more) time. He should have gone months ago, at Christmas, after Fleetwood, after the end of the season was confirmed. [Post edited 3 Sep 2020 17:35]

Spot on re being underwhelmed with the appointment or of Lambert and Jewell. Of all the Town managerial appointments these two stand out at the most underwhelming, even more than Bobby Ferguson and John Duncan. On the opposite side when John Lyall and George Burley were unveiled I felt like I had won a night in with Belladonna.

Two people whose judgement I can trust and count on. Being so far removed from all things Ipswich, apart from being on here, I have to rely on other people. To think Joe has any sort of agenda is ridiculous. |
I’m only 3rd Newcy? Harsh, but I’ll take it.

Joe has contacts and this is what he has been told and he's based his opinion on that.

Newcy-only just seen this, thank you so much. Unlike Joe my only 'def info' comes from the past but you are certainly right in saying that if Joe says it it is not far from being spot on if not 100% spot on.
