Parking Ticket Issue 09:22 - Sep 4 with 3158 views | hype313 | I got a Penalty notice from NCP (Tacket Street) to say thier APNR cameras caught my car without paying, however, I did buy a ticket (with cash) and you can see the ticket in the window of my car in their picture, but I binned the ticket a week later. Am I fighting a losing battle against them as I have no proof, bar a picture in the window of my car, which isn't clear enough to show validation. Anyone else had similar issues?

People are facing far bigger challenges in the world than some big business that claims it needs £300 off me for a parking service that costs £2 tops. If everyone tomorrow went on a PCN strike we could take down an entire corrupt industry of daylight robbery. If I sent an invoice for 150 times more than my fee each time a client paid late I'd probably have no clients. It's not a normal or acceptable way to operate. I expect at one point in the next 10 years a law will change to stop parking companies doing it - 10 years ago when I was at Domino's they'd clamp delivery driver cars when delivering pizzas and demand £200 on the spot to remove it. F*ck 'em. I'm just doing my bit to awaken society to the fact it doesn't have to take sh1t from w@nkers.

I totally agree with everything you say there, but they can issue CCJ's which are a pain in the proverbial to get off your back and bite you on the ar5e when you need to re mortgage etc.

I get that, but that's my take. I don't really live on credit and I doubt I'll be on the housing market any time soon!

I'm unconvinced that this says what you think it says. Particularly when it comes around to Bailiff enforcement. Or, indeed, enforcement more generally. [Post edited 4 Sep 2020 15:07]

It goes without saying that people are facing bigger issues than a large business charging you £300, but that doesn't change anything unfortunately. Don't disagree that it's immoral the sort of fines they levy at people too. A mate of mine got clamped outside his own flat in Ipswich down near the docks some 10 years or so ago. Now I wouldn't encourage the use of counterfeit money, but he was very smug about paying the £120 fine in cash to the bloke who came to release the clamp, with 6 fake 20's that he paid 50p for each. He still argued it was £3 too much, and probably had a point given it was behind HIS flat on Pownall Rd.
