What a company. Parasites feeding off cheap labour and markups and then monitoring everyone's moves. He's got issues!

You don't think this type of thing is a little more widespread then?

Anyway I clicked through to another news story from your link and found this astonishing piece:

'It gets worse. In Thailand truth is not an automatic defence as it is in many countries. So even if what you have said, or reported, is true, and the plaintiff admits it is true, you can still go to jail...'

If you don't trust your staff to WFH effectively, and don't trust them enough to treat them as adults, why employ them in the first place?

I particularly like the bit about helping other stuff increase their productivity. Basically lets keep raising the bar for what you have to do for the same money. My last employer did that. The job was already far too much for one person (which they admitted but said they wouldn't do anything about it) and then they kept piling on new things every time some moron in the region sent a smug self congratulatory email around telling everyone what they were doing.

This guy is a pr1ck.

Truly impaired.
