Tested positive for Covid yesterday 22:29 - Nov 7 with 2111 viewscbower

Got results today. Glad they're keeping the schools open though. I'm sure me being around 1000 teenagers on Monday and Tuesday this week before feeling shoite on Wednesday is just pure coincidence.

Or just utter madness?

I was fortunate enough to get an early retirement package just before my 59th birthday. In a month or so I should be getting a letter from The Pension Service about my approaching entitlement to RP.

How many of your colleagues will be asked to do quarantine?

A disproportionate number of Covid cases in educational environments seem to be teachers.

One of my closest colleagues already went down with it during half term. As I teach exclusively in a small building adjacent to the main building I had direct contact on Monday and Tuesday with only three other teachers, none closer than 2m or for more than a few mins so that is OK according to regs. During those days, however, 150 plus 11 to 16 year old were in my classroom but never closer than 1m. No masks required in classrooms.

Well now I've corrected that oversight.
