The McCartney to my Lennon in the band I was in during 6th form. You may have seen us Badger back in the day (1997) we played Queensbury Snooker Club, Ship and Star and Metropolis in Sudbury a few times each.
I've worked with Jonny and I think he's a really talented bloke. He wrote a folk concept album about the Peasant's Revolt

Massive upvote for Jonny Day. A genuinely lovely bloke who is hugely talented. And also has the good taste to drink in Glemsford as well(hell that video is him playing in the Angel), Mitch Scott that I linked is a mate of his as well and is another smashing bloke. Hell, there's loads of vaguely folky youngsters round the Sudbury area at the moment. Jason Rampling(of local legends Stereojack) quite often organises acoustic afternoons in various local boozers which are well worth a look of a Sunday afternoon(likely to be difficult for you, given your working habits, I appreciate).
There is, however, no point asking me if I remember seeing someone play the much-missed S&S as I was invariably tallied by the time we got there. Or if I wasn't, I was well on the way, so I could numb myself before being dragged into Eastern's.
As a result, the only band I can ever remember seeing there was a nu-metal bunch called Overleaf. If they were your mates, I'm really sorry but they weren't very good.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Overleaf? Bloody hell. They used to be called Stone until they found out there hundreds of bands called Stone. They were the band who gave us literally our first gigs supporting them. My first ever live gig was supporting Overleaf in the top room at Queensbury Snooker Club, they were always really nice to us and lent us equipment but their music was pretty w*nk.

Oh yeah, some really nice guys there. They partially reunited a few years ago for an acoustic all-day thing that Mrs Badger did as well. They sounded much better unplugged.
