Does Lambert have the ability to win you over? 11:17 - Dec 11 with 4411 views | MalcolmBlue | For me I think maybe he does, we haven't looked great this year but are somehow still up there (which says more about the league than anything) but to his credit, he has made some decent signings when given the chance and we've had really bad luck with injuries (granted we've had bad luck with injuries for many consecutive seasons now). If I felt like he had the full backing of the players I think I'd probably be a bit more convinced. I'm interested to hear other thoughts on this. Do you think he would be able to win you back around (if so what would it take?) and do you think he's capable of winning you back?

Does Lambert have the ability to win you over? on 17:10 - Dec 11 with 747 views | Bluefish | Nope Whatever happens he has proved that he is inept as a football manager and he is a tw*t to go with it. His performances across multiple teams shown that he cannot put the tactics together to win fans over and be successful. He has come here and been given a free hit in season 1 but done nothing with that to shape us. In season 2 he got to be the biggest fish in the pond and still got it wrong and now in season 3 he is still pricing that he doesn't have the ability to assess the squad and assess matches and put it right. Our tactics are turgid and do not work. Off the field his treatment of the young players, the press and expecially of Phil is unforgivable He simply has to go

Flowers, chocs & a handwritten apology to Phil for behaving like a first class ninny... Failing that, promotion and I’ll rename the goldfish Dortmund in his honour.

Apparently so. He performs miracles where yellow is involved. I’m reliably informed Brazil are monitoring events with interest.

Does Lambert have the ability to win you over? on 19:29 - Dec 11 with 634 views | Guthrum | Could I be won over by Paul Lambert? Potentially, yes. If he returns to the way he was trying to build the club up when he first arrived, bringing team, fans, former players and the local media together. Including, obviously, a reconciliation with Phil. Also, he has to get the team winning football matches consistently and getting promoted at least back to the Championship. Without that, the other stuff is largely meaningless. Do I think Lambert has the capability to achieve that? Not so sure.

Does Lambert have the ability to win you over? on 15:31 - Dec 11 by SouperJim | Define "win you over"? Promotion is the minimum I expect this season. So long as we're in the top 2, or very close on their tails, I can just about tolerate him in spite of his antics. As it stands we're clinging onto that by our fingernails and all the signs are that we're far more likely to fall away than suddenly improve. |
I beg to differ on your last point. With half a side of first teasers on their way back I’d expect us to improve rather than decline. Remember, when we had a nearly full strength midfield and defense when the season started we were playing some good football. Things have tailed off as injuries have hit. Will PL win me over again - probably if I can see incremental improvements in results and performances.

Does Lambert have the ability to win you over? on 21:39 - Dec 11 with 578 views | Paramedic | Unfortunately not me. I was sucked in to his early days bringing it all together, fans, team united thing that was great. But then comes the realism that he is not going to take us forward and his Alex Ferguson on crack interviews. No disrespect, but this is not a match. Stay as friends maybe?
