We beat West Ham 5-1 at home with a JET masterclass. Seems a lifetime ago.

West Ham foolishly allowed Jimmy Bullard to drop deep, get the ball from our centre backs & run the game.

What a night though! We absolutely run the show from start to finish.

Yes, a rare pleasure to see Town win at Upton Park, a ground at which I never felt very comfortable as an away supporter.

I saw us win at Upton Park in my first visit there in 1969 in one of SBR's very early games and the 1-0 was my last time there but I don't think that I saw us win there in between.

We did win there in 73,75,76, 01 & 03 but I didn't go to any of those games.

Yes agreed I was drinking at Aldgate before heading to Upton Park on the tube. I assumed the hostelries around Upton park ain't the best.

I went with a West Ham supporting mate & we did have pre-game drinks at a grotty but bearable pub near the ground, but I wouldn't have wanted to be there as an obvious away fan.

Would that have been the Friday night 3-1 win? If so that would've also been the first time I'd seen Town win at Upton Park. Left school early and hitchhiked with a mate. Lucky we got picked up by a van of Town fans somewhere near Romford who also gave us boys a ride home! My first visit was an end of season 67/68 treat from the Ipswich boys team I used to play for to see Man Utd beat West Ham 6-1 and clinch the old Division 1. thousands locked out and mayhem inside!

I had a fiver on Town to win 4-2 at 80/1.

Spammers missed a sitter in the last minute at 4-1, we went straight up the other end for a 5th. Gutted.

Haven't bet in the ground since.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Yes it was, I went by train to Liverpool Street-got an idea that it was a 'football special' rather than a service train but not certain.

In the space of about 5 weeks we won at Arsenal, drew at Spurs and won at West Ham-all of them night matches and all of them with me there.

So poor - did you even read the title and post

Come on Herbivore - how about a simple ‘sorry my mistake’

In table view nobody pisses about with changing titles, mate. There's no need to.
