Plan still to develop our own - Lee ONeill on 15:55 - Feb 3 by Swansea_Blue | That's my reading of it. I don't mind that - the younger ones breaking through haven't looked good when given a chance lately. Although in their defence nobody's looked good! It's the slightly strange explanations coming out of the club I find odd (off the back of delusional comments about how well we're playing and still aiming for automatic promotion). |
I think it is difficult for Dobra & Lankester etc to find form, bench most weeks, rare appearances, back on the bench, back with the u23's. You got to trust the academy products at some point to blend them into men's football. Downes, Bishop, Kenlock, Woolfenden and co now look like they belong in men's football. So now you have to integrate the next batch - El Miz, Dobra, Ndaba, Lankester But I'm it is been stunted by average L1 players and loanees. But that's where we don't have a manager that trusts the academy products.

Surely more likely it’s to keep to a minimum the number of contracted players in the summer so that the new manager is not over burdened with players they may not want.

2 and half years in, 5 transfer windows, 24 signings later...

Maybe so but whoever comes in will need to buy half a squad on the Evans budget in the matter of weeks. It'll just be one desperate situation to another.

I'm starting to think that all that fine talk was nothing but a load of PR gift from an incompetent fraud to a gullible fanbase that were easily bought off by nice words and a free beer.

There are options out there, due diligence is key, but there will be options out there on the budget. It will be good to see the back of so many, far too overpaid. [Post edited 3 Feb 2021 16:35]

Plan still to develop our own - Lee ONeill on 15:53 - Feb 3 by Cheltenham_Blue | Excuse, after excuse, after excuse. Parachute Payments, The fractured relationship with the club Roy Keane, Paul Jewell, Injuries Parachute Payments, Ipswich being too far from London, 'THEY' changed the rules on Cat one academies, now we are just short. We are reinvesting our transfer money, in our youth and in quality loans Premier league teams poaching our best youth players We can't get quality loans in the way London based clubs can, geographically, we are disadvantaged, We can't afford to get to a cat one academy Micks fractured relationship with the fans, Paul Hurst was what the fans wanted, We thought it odd selling all the players but we had to trust Hurst, Paul Hurst, Injuries Covid, No Fans in Stadiums, Too many fixtures, Injuries, Too much rotation, The Salary Cap, Parachute payments, Its your fault we were relegated, You made me get Hurst. Sack Lambert? You told me to get rid of Mick Its the fans fault, Covid, The salary cap. Too many fixtures Excuse, after excuse, after excuse. I for one, am sick of it.
