I'm not particularly a fan, it's something my GF likes and I tolerate. I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but there seems to be quite a few instances of people cooking things they haven't cooked before. My question is why on earth would you go on a cookery show, with the intention of cooking better than the other guests in order to win the money, but take on something you've never attempted? Surely you'd do something you know you can do well... and practice like mad on top of that, before the show?
So weird.
It also amazes me how many people (mainly Northerners) haven't heard of pretty basic things. Like the other day there were a couple of people who didn't know halloumi's a cheese.

Yeah, like you can be on telly AND cook something you know/might help you win. |
Also I'd be concerned I'd embarrass myself if I went in blind.
And in the spirit of things I'd want people to at least like the food!
Bit more pointless info: the scoring in the back of the taxi was just the same car driving around the block. Contestant gets in, car does a circuit for filming the clip and then picks up the next one, and repeat.
The contestants were then run to wherever they were staying by private hire vehicles. |  |
