How are we all spending today in the most unusual of times?
Can’t claim to have thought of anything too original this year. Just a walk around the city centre before having a take away Pizza sitting on a bench in George Square.
WhatsApp video call set up for an hour's time, she tells me she is cooking Duck curry, I have has a lamb cutlet with roast potatoes, a chestnut mushroom, a cherry tomato plus some cauliflower and broccoli florets followed by a banana, a slice of Nevis madiera cake and three squares of Mackie's dark chocolate.
Sort of disappointed that a report from George Square does not say which statue has the traffic cone on it at the moment.
Was the takeaway pizza from that Greggs in the corner by Montrose Street?

We still do. Even at our age.
Mrs GB booked us a weekend in Oxford with tickets to see John Cooper Clarke. I booked us tickets for Paul Weller at Brixton.
Neither were aware of what the other had done.
Are you not burying surprise gifts in the woods this year dollers?

Blimey! No, I tend to think of Valentine's as commercialised nonsense. The champers and glasses buried in the forest was with my ex when we'd only been dating a short while, when you have to make a bit more of an effort.
Also, in terms of gifts I meant 'wrapped gifts.' Which seems odd to me outside birthdays and Christmas. I've never wrapped a Valentine's gift. I've never wrapped a pancake on Shrove Wednesday either. I didn't know they even did Valentine's wrapping paper.
Me and the missus tell each other we love each other every day, we don't need a special day for it.
