Such a refreshing change to hear someone so positive and being completely honest. No whinging, outright lies and hostility to cover up being useless. No "we need some help" but instead talking about how we have so many good players.

I know it's minor but it's so much better.

And going further back in managerial time, so much better than players said to have to prove themselves and not resting on previous Championship achievemnt.

It’s not minor, it is fundamental. Competence.

Today is huge for him. I can’t wait......

Yes, competence and responsibility. Instead of, "I've played for big, big clubs" ie, you're lucky to have me, "We need a little help" time and time again. Now we have someone willing to take responsibility, who is proud to be here, knows that he has to trim the squad rather than continuing to bloat it and wants to work with the players.

It will take time but I hope this is the start of things turning around.
