It would have been true if Lambert had been doing his job and been actually coaching, motivating, organising and ensuring they were fit rather than dishing out free beer and talking about Celtic and Dortmund.

There was enough quality there to go on long unbeaten runs at the start of both seasons in division 3.
Trouble is, when other sides achieved true match fitness and gelled, our players had been allowed to coast, lose fitness, been played in multiple formations and systems(or been drilled into an utterly ineffective system) and allegedly go out on the piss and drive home when they should have been working on their fitness.

Theres more to it than that, you dont lose that much fitness by not training properly, when you are playing 90mins of football every week.

And none of the problems on the pitch can be blamed on a lack of fitness, we werent scoring goals because the players were knackered, we werent conceding goals due to tiredness. It was because we were never pushing the ball up front and bringing in the attackers and shooting enough and not marking people at set pieces properly, plus an total inability to often pass the ball to our own players.

We struggled to create as our players to were to tired to get into space. Fitness has been a massive problem.

So much that we have had to make 3 to 4 subs per game purely for fitness reasons.

You do if you're not properly fit and not being properly looked after by others and, if you're Norwood, yourself to start with.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
