Easton Farm Park 08:00 - Jun 26 with 3032 views | Mullet | We used to go as kids most years. I’m bringing my 3 year old down this summer to Suffolk, is it a decent day out? Open to other suggestions too for youngsters in Suffolk if anyone has any. Cheers etc

Easton Farm Park on 20:01 - Jun 26 by stonojnr | a monkey enclosure ? and what part of Essex/Suffolk do these little monkeys originate from? at least in the beginning Jimmys farm had some relevance to the kinds of animals they had, if they are just going to turn it into a poor zoo just as an attraction, Im not entirely sure thats of benefit. the way I remember Easton Farm Park back when I were a kid, and loved going there, was it was always a working farm, which I think over the years has been diluted for elf n safety reasons & animal welfare,as well as profitability, the dairy especially youll find a herd of cows can quickly chomp through more feed and cost you more than you are getting by selling their milk for (blame the supermarkets for that one), such that yeah theyve had to cut back, and its probably no more than a half day attraction now. |
Well the boy loved it (Jimmy’s), there was more than plenty to see and do. If they’re turning it into a zoo then so be it, the main thing is it’s value for money and a good day out. I didn’t ask where the monkeys originated from, it really didn’t cross my mind 🤷â€â™‚ï¸

Easton Farm Park on 10:22 - Jun 26 by Tangledupin_Blue | Yes, the boating lake at Thorpeness. When my lad was little we went two or three times every summer. Cream teas over the road. On the same trips we often took in Orford for fish and chips and to see the lifeboat. Or Leiston Abbey is good for an hour. Halcyon days... [Post edited 26 Jun 2021 10:53]

Thorpeness was heaven as a kid, early 70’s, magical on the mere and the odd buildings. Didn’t go back for 40 years, took the dog one day. Loved it again, now we rent a little house there for a long weekend every year, right behind the pub. Walks, golf, dinners, drinks, I still love the mix of architecture, always think it’s like an episode of The Avengers, can see Steed and Emma Peel driving round the village after some enemies!

No cafe or touristy shop but there a nice pub just around corner. The 'hills' themselves are some spectacle and think there still steps up to the top of one.
