Who agrees with Mick Mills …..
That if not all then the majority of today’s team should be back out on the pitch together, on Tuesday night , against West Ham for vital jell / familiarity time as well as in some cases fitness.says that training ground scenarios are good enough at this moment in time .
They need game time together as often as possible, he really had strong views on this .

I think it's more building relationships - goalkeeper and backline in particular. In fairness, I'm not sure whether our front line needs work and we probably need to try and different combination out because Harper and Evans doesn't work and we simply cannot play against Lincoln and Wednesday with them in the middle.

However people rate them, Harper and Evans as a defensive midfield pairing in a 4-2-3-1 formation today were, well the politest way of putting it is "ineffective".

I think we can probably get a ten page thread out of words relating to Harper and Evans playing together in the centre... none of them complimentary.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?

What does he do if Morsy picks up a long term injury? Just give up for the season?

Or if we are going to be so dependent on him, why sign him an hour before the end of the window?

If it's a lack of effort and desire that's causing this I'd agree, but do you think it is? The set up of the side and the coaching appears to be the main culprit to me.

100% coaching and tactics. Bolton changed shape for every scenario and put Burns out of the game at half time. Cook might be a good man manager but he's inept with anything tactical

I thought Mills advocated playing what is clearly Cook’s preferred central defence pairing, and also keeper to give them competitive time together. He did add that Edmondson ran out of steam in the second half.

I imagine Cook was going to stand back for the Trophy game leaving it to Jeffers or KD. The real problem seems to be the off field team Cook has put together; there is something missing and I suspect it is Liam Richardson. Cook is being found out in much the same way Hurst was.

Cook has been fortunate in that Ashton has given him what he wanted. He has to show now that he, without Richardson behind him is capable of making it work.

He has been in charge for half a season and managed just four wins. It is a results business and where it matters most Cook has been found wanting.

My team for Tuesday would be picked and managed by KD. and would contain just a handful of yesterday’s failures.
