You do know that "within circles" it is perfectly acceptable to use both the "P" word and the "N" word, Balance was being called a "Zimbo" in return too, what we would see as unacceptable is often accepted by young guys in certain settings...

I work in an office where this is similar banter, it's disgusting. I complained to my boss about it and his response was well nobody else complained. The entire board needs to go, oh and don't bring back the bloke who was in charge when it happened. This has all made me so angry and depressed.

Well, it's a shame for ordinary local cricket fans of course, but in a way I'm glad the ECB have hit that hard & come down on YCCC like a ton of bricks, necessary in the circumstances.

Not sure what constitutional rules the club has, but if they have any power, I hope YCCC members will make their feelings very clear & boot that entire Board out.

It's bloody awful what's gone on. I've always been a Yorkshire fan, all my mum's side of the family are from up there and it was my grandad who got me into the game. He was on at my mum when she was about to drop with me to "get him up here" so I could play for the county because it was still Yorkshire-only then and was until 92 when Sachin came over. Used to play for my village team in my YCCC cap.

To see them dragged through the mud like this is really bad. How they thought they could appoint a law firm that the chairman used to work for and try to claim it was independent is ludicrous, then not show to the report to anybody until forced to. That awful press release they put out beginning with "We're pleased to say we're taking no action...." . Just when you thought they couldn't get anymore tone-deaf and out of touch they surpass themselves with another episode of stupidity.

To try to argue that P**i is the same as calling a Zimbabwean 'Zimbo' and Rafiq was censured for that in that report is one of the most stupid things I've ever heard in my life.

It's getting bigger.

Michael Vaughan is named in the report.

"Vaughan says the report states he told a group of Asian players, including Rafiq: "Too many of you lot, we need to do something about it."

But Vaughan says he "completely and categorically denies" saying that."

YCCC needs the Board to resign and an emergency recovery team put in place. English cricket needs a functioning Yorkshire.

This is wider than YCCC.

The aussie press are going to feast on this. Warner and Smith's treatment in 2019 in England, having served unprecedented bans, won't be forgotten.

Why is the ECB not pre-emptively protecting Root from the aussie press? He's going to get slaughtered if they don't address it and England's chances of performing are inevitably reduced.

*conflict of interest declaration - I'm an aussie cricket fan.
