I think that the Lincoln replay borefest will still sit in the BBC's sports department minds.


Also the cup game between SOTON and Ipswich before it - Sheaer and pals were really scathing at how bad a game it was, and they were correct.

Reality is though, viewing figures for these first round ties are pretty low, so itv in particular will look at whose fans may watch the game - we are the big fish in this instance…..

ITV will always go for the big teams - just wait until the 3rd round when they pick Manu at home to Naaridge and let the beeb have a non league team at home to Watford..


Would be on itv4 anyway. Bbc and itv are in it for the later rounds, just as part of the deal with the FA they have to cover from the first round and replays.
